1970 – Two months after his death, Jimi Hendrix went No. 1 in the UK with “Voodoo Child”

On 21st November 1970, two months after Jimi Hendrix’s death, his single “Voodoo Child” reached No. 1 in the UK singles chart.

The song is the closing track on Electric Ladyland, the third and final album recorded by Jimi Hendrix Experience and it is his only single that reached the No. 1 in the UK.

Voodoo Child” is one of Hendrix’s most successful songs which featured many of his concert performances.
