On 19th November 1988, Bon Jovi reached No. 1 at the US singles chart with the single “Bad Medicine”, from the band’s album New Jersey. The single stayed No. 1 for two weeks and became group’s third US No. 1.
“Bad Medicine” was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and Desmond Child and it was released in 1988. It is considered as one of the most successful songs of the band. The single has reached No. 17 in the UK and No. 15 in Australia.
