On 6th December, 1969 Led Zeppelin made their debut on the US singles chart with “Whole Lotta Love” and it reached No. 4.

The single was released in November, 1969 on the band’s second album Led Zeppelin II and it became their first hit single that was certified Gold and sold one million copies.

In 2004, the song was ranked 75 on the list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by the Rolling Stone magazine and in March 2005, it was placed 3 on a list of 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks by Q magazine.
